Research and Action Projects

The following projects have received funding:

(1) CIDA Gender and Eauity Fund Development of Gender Indicators to assess projects implemented under the current trade and aid agreements and projects in general
(2) CAFRA/caribbean Reference Group on Trade (CRG) and HIVOS core funding Impact of WTO and FTAA on Sustainable livelihoods
(3)UNAUDS/CAFRA T&T Commercial Sex Workers and HIV/AIDS Prevalence
(4) OXFAMand HIVOS Core Funding Advocacy Campaign on HIV/AIDS Intervention/Prevention
(5) OXFAM/HBF Economic Literacy Workshop
(6) KULU, Copenhagen andHIVOS Core Funding Trade Policies in St. Lucia, Dominica and Trinidad and Tobago, and the impact on women’s livelihoods

The following proposals were developed in collaboration with other Agencies, but have not received funding.

(1) CAFRA/DAWN CaribbeanandHIVOS Core Funding Political Participation of Women
(2) CAFRA/DAWN CaribbeanImpact of macro-economic policies on the Health System

Several proposals were developed specifically by the Spanish-Speaking member countries in the areas of Domestic Violence Intervention, Economic Literacy and Summer University Feminist Theory. These were submitted to a Donor with specific funding for the Spanish-Speaking Caribbean, but have not received funding.
