An Economic Literacy Workshop was held at regional level, in November in Barbados. Additionally, CAFRA held a second workshop in the Dominican Republic during December. This workshop was for the Spanish-speaking membership only.
The content of the workshops was based on the Econom ic Literacy Manual produced by CAFRA.
This workshop again showed, that people in the communities, schools, ordinary workers, academics and the genral public were still unaware of the rade agreements.
Policy makers have been targeted to share the information as well as to act on the research findings, which show the negative impact of the Agreements. this is being done through collaboration with the Caribbean Reference Group on Trade. There is a demand fr the material, and the challenge is in replicating and producing it in more popular forms.
