General Meeting

Efforts to raise funds for the General Meeting did not bear fruit, as potential donors in Europe had difficulty in accessing the funds thrugh their Governments.

In the circumstances, the continuation committee gave directions for the hosting of this meeting, still in Suriname, but during 2002. The theme for the Meeting is "Women, Globalisation and Fair Trade". There is need to raise funds specifically for this meeting.
