There was a smooth transition of CAFRA programmes from 1998 into 1999. The start of the year saw consolidation of funding opportunities through the Inter-American Development Bank, Women in Development Europe (WIDE), the Dutch Embassy, British Department for International Development (DFID) and consistent Partners HIVOS, UNIFEM and OXFAM.
CAFRA`s work throughout 1999 was guided by a detailed work-plan, which is also used as a guide for this Report. However, many new activities demanded the organisation`s attention, in keeping with its mandate.
