CAFRA

Interns

2004

From September 2, 2004 and for an ensuing three-month programme, CAFRA benefited from the support of two Interns through the Canadian NGO Alternatives Limited. They are Amelie Baillargeon and Dominic Gaboury.

Both Interns are fluent in French, and were particularly valuable in terms of:

  1. Translation of documents for outreach to Haiti in particular, and other French-speaking countries. This includes the proposed issue of CAFRA NEWS that will focus on Haiti
  2. Updating the CAFRA Website and doing the French translation
  3. Linking of the computers to make Internet Service available to all computers in each office
  4. Assisting with computerising the CAFRA Documentation Center

The Interns were responsible for their board and lodging, and CAFRA was responsible for providing office space and a programme that would enable them to understand and contribute to CAFRA’s work, and gain insights into the history and culture of Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean.
